Can you trust in your instincts when those around you react differently?
Synopsis: Can you trust in your instincts when those around you react differently? When a group of young adults camp out in the woods, they become entwined in a murder. A murder which grows, and strangles their perception of trust, loyalty and morals. In protecting the people they love, they uncover those only willing to protect themselves.
ABATEMENT is a story that will keep you guessing all through the film! Just when you think you have worked out what is going on another sequence of events will make you question everything you know. It is a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the big climax at the end.
The film started out as a low budget, self-funded film designed to provide local actors with a project they could get their teeth into over the summer period. This quickly grew into something much larger after receiving 500 applicants for the roles. These were whittled down to around 25 we felt were real strong contenders all of which were then invited to submit a self-tape.
The main cast were then selected from these that we have today. Safe to say all the young talent involved are exceptional! Coupled with casting veteran actor Michael McKell we really ended up with a very special project
