HECKLE is set for release in 2019
Dani Dyer swaps the sunshine and romance of ‘Love Island’ for a much darker world in upcoming psychological thriller, HECKLE.
Alongside Dani Dyer, HECKLE cast includes legendary music icon Toyah Wilcox, Hellraiser's Nicholas Vince, Facebook sensation Stuggy and Clark Gable III (grandson of the Gone With the Wind star).
HECKLE tells the tale of a stand-up comedian’s encounter with an obsessed audience member that takes a spine-chilling turn.
Dani Dyer commented: “I had such fun filming Heckle! It was an amazing project to be part of, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Directed by Emmy-nominated Martyn Pick, shooting is close to completion and slated for a Halloween release.
Speaking of Dani’s involvement, Pick said: “From the first rehearsal, Dani shone out with her effortless natural comic timing and heart. On the location shoots she had great commitment and range in her performance. She gave us down-to-earth humour and banter along with genuine confusion and terror in the horror scenes. On top of that she was a supreme team player. She knew her role inside out, precisely hit all the marks and was always generous and affable with the cast and crew.”
Dani has previously appeared in Doghouse (2009), We Still Kill the Old Way (2014) and Bonded by Blood 2 (2017).
Actor James de’Val, who co-stars as Dani's boyfriend, said: "Dani was a dream to work with and we shared great chemistry on screen. After Love Island, audiences will be surprised to see a very different side of Dani when they watch Heckle."
Heckle is produced by UK-based Voodoo Productions. Voodoo are also currently producing The Alpha Rules, a documentary on notorious pick-up artists based on 'The Game', the New York Times bestseller by Neil Strauss.
