Behind The Scenes Of Eoghan Synnott's Britsh Urban Film RASH
A young black musician, a female police officer and a paranoid conspiracy theorist, lives collide across the same forty-eight hours leading to tragedy in London.
RASH is an urban crime drama. It takes the story telling device of Akira Kurosawa RASHOMON showing three different view points leading to one act of violence and updates it to modern day London into the very heart of city. Building on the ground created by other micro budget “found footage” films like END OF WATCH, CLOVERFIELD and TANGERINE.
Synopsis: John, is trying to live out his dreams of becoming a musician, so he and his younger brother can steer clear of the criminal element who prey on the desperate and disenfranchised round the estate they live in. Daisy, a female police officer, has to deal with the stigma of being a woman in a male dominated culture and the pressure of being part of a new armed response unit task force cracking down on street gangs. Tom, a internet journalist and paranoid conspiracy theorist, hates the “establishment” and will go above and beyond to make their job impossible and prove them wrong and him right at any cost. Their actions will lead them to cross paths with deadly and tragic repercussions for one of them…
RASH is an exciting 'real life' story told in a new ground breaking innovate way. Taking a radically new visual story telling technique RASH’s goal is to bring the audience with them into the lives of three Londoners as intimately as possible. Using phone cameras and social media to voyeur into their world and tell their story through; musician John's Vlogs, YouTube videos and home-made music videos. With Daisy’s dangerous world in the police gang task force captured on the dashcam of her patrol car and vest cameras. While internet journalist Tom films his goading of the police and self righteous points of view to his online “followers”
