BritFlicks is proud to be a key sponsor of the brand-new 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗪𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗠 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 (NWIFF), a celebration of British short films taking place in Preston, Lancashire this June. With just four weeks left until the submission deadline on April 30, 2025, filmmakers across the UK are invited to submit their short fiction or documentary films for consideration.
Founded to highlight innovative and thought-provoking British filmmaking, NWIFF focuses on accessibility and supporting emerging voices in the industry. The festival will feature a curated programme of screenings and recognises excellence with four award categories:
Best Short Fiction Film
Best Documentary Short
Best North West Film
Best Student Film
Short fiction entries can include any genre—drama, comedy, horror, etc.—and animations are also welcome. All submissions must have a runtime of 15 minutes or less, including credits.
