The British indie LGBTQ+ comedy 'SECRETS OF A WALLABY BOY' is now available to stream on Prime Video and Tubi. Offering a modern, queer twist on cheeky British classics like 'Confessions of a Window Cleaner,' this comedy is infused with sharp satire reminiscent of 'Black Mirror,' tackling themes around the gig economy and artificial intelligence.
The film stars rising actors Brandon McCaffrey and Billie Hindle ('The Magnus Protocol'), alongside well-known talents Mark Benton ('Smoggie Queens'), Colin Baker ('Doctor Who'), and Laurence R. Harvey ('The Human Centipede 2 & 3'). Written and directed by Kieron Moore, with production by Pete Tomkies and Moore, this film is an edgy, comedic exploration of modern life's absurdities.
Tim Coaster (McCaffrey), a young gay man who is struggling financially, physically unfit, and unlucky in love, attempts to change his life by becoming a courier for the delivery app Wallaby. Under the guidance of AI marsupial Bruce (voiced by Baker), Tim experiences a series of humorous mishaps, awkward encounters, and unexpected romantic escapades. However, his new job takes a dark turn when he stumbles upon a sinister conspiracy involving Wallaby and a corrupt government minister (Harvey).
Originally premiering at Unrestricted View Film Festival 2023, 'SECRETS OF A WALLABY BOY' earned accolades including 2nd Place for Best UK Feature and Best Actor.
