Following its 25th Anniversary, the UK's top genre film festival, FrightFest, returns to the Odeon Luxe West End for a Halloween special on 1st and 2nd November 2024. Featuring nine premieres from six countries, the event promises a thrilling showcase of global talent, with each film screened twice.
Friday, 1st November 2024
Opening the event is the UK premiere of Sam Yates's psychological thriller 'MAGPIE'. Starring Daisy Ridley, who will be attending the screening alongside her husband, Tom Bateman, the film promises to deliver a tension-filled neo-noir experience.
The Friday schedule also includes the UK premiere of 'PARVULOS', directed by Isaac Ezban. This visually stunning post-apocalyptic zombie film draws inspiration from Lord of the Flies, creating a thought-provoking horror masterpiece.
Friday will close with the world premiere of 'ADVENT', a supernatural Christmas ghost story directed by Airell Hayes, which features Nicholas Vince and a haunting narrative inspired by the infamous Blue Whale game.
The horror continues with 'THE DRAFT!', a blood-soaked, cliche-bending Indonesian horror, and the UK premiere of 'TIME TRAVEL IS DANGEROUS'. This meta-universe comedy stars Johnny Vegas, Sophie Thompson, and features narration by Stephen Fry.
The festival will conclude with the international premiere of 'CATCH A KILLER', a neo-noir thriller from Teddy Grennan, and the UK premiere of 'ANIMALE', a unique shape-shifting horror drama by Emma Benestan.
