A Wickedly Humorous POV Horror from the Creators of 'Playhouse'
The filmmaking duo behind 'Playhouse' are back with a new horror film, 'BLACK DARUMA', which puts a fresh spin on the doll sub-genre. This time, they’ve combined a wicked sense of humor with a dark, inventive narrative that is sure to appeal to fans of found footage and POV-style films.
'BLACK DARUMA' follows Ryan, a man in his 30s who buys a Japanese ‘Daruma’ doll in a bid to turn his luck around, only to find his life spiraling out of control in hilariously dark ways. The film is shot entirely from the doll's point of view, offering a unique perspective on the chaos that unfolds. Described by co-director Fionn as "Gremlins meets Paranormal Activity," the film blends a playful yet sinister vibe, making it an unpredictable ride.
With a cast that includes Richard Galloway, Louise O’Leary, and Julie Higginson, the film is now available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video in both the US and UK.
If you’re a fan of quirky, character-driven horror films, 'BLACK DARUMA' promises to entertain and spook in equal measure.
