We are excited to share the official trailer for THE OLD MAN AND THE LAND, a moving rural drama coming to UK cinemas from 20th September 2024. Directed by Nicholas Parish, the film features standout performances from Rory Kinnear (Skyfall) and Emily Beecham (Hail, Caesar!) alongside real-life farmer Roger Marten.
THE OLD MAN AND THE LAND made its World Premiere at the Tallin Black Nights Film Festival, where it earned critical praise for its poignant storytelling. Now, UK audiences will have the chance to experience this heartfelt story on the big screen.
Outline: As an aging farmer struggles with declining health, the future of his cherished land is uncertain. His daughter has the knowledge to continue farming but lacks the will to make the necessary sacrifices, while his son sees the land solely as a financial asset. As family tensions grow, the farmer’s lifelong devotion to his land is threatened. Will his legacy live on, or will it be lost?
