Vertigo Releasing have announced the upcoming release of their latest comedy drama, 'AND MRS', directed by Daniel Reisinger. The film is set to have its World Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) on 19th August, with a wider Digital Download release scheduled for 2nd September.
Plot Summary: 'AND MRS' is a witty and heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and the complexities of modern relationships. The story follows Gemma, played by BAFTA winner Aisling Bea (Svalta, Greatest Days, This Way Up), a Londoner whose life is turned upside down when her American fiancé, Nathan (played by Emmy nominee Colin Hanks, known for Fargo and King Kong), dies unexpectedly just before their wedding day.
Despite the tragic circumstances, Gemma decides to proceed with the wedding, challenging societal norms and facing objections from her family and friends. With the support of Nathan’s unconventional sister Audrey, portrayed by Billie Lourd (Booksmart, Ticket To Paradise), Gemma embarks on an emotional and humorous journey to say “I do” under the most unusual of circumstances.
Star-Studded Cast: Leading the film is BAFTA winner Aisling Bea (This Way Up, Svalta) as Gemma, alongside Emmy nominee Colin Hanks (Fargo, King Kong) who plays her late fiancé, Nathan. They are joined by Billie Lourd (Booksmart, Ticket To Paradise) as Audrey, Nathan's unconventional sister.
