Less Tech More Life has released the first teaser and poster for their upcoming film, VIDEO VISION, a queer romance set within a RetroTech body horror theme. Directed by Michael Turney, the film stars Andrea Figliomeni and Chrystal Peterson. It has been officially selected for this year’s Pigeon Shrine FrightFest and will celebrate its UK Premiere on August 24th at the renowned horror festival.
VIDEO VISION follows Kibby (Andrea Figliomeni), an employee at the digitizing facility Video Vision, who finds herself affected in strange ways by an old VCR. As she embarks on an unexpected romance with Gator (Chrystal Peterson), a trans man, Kibby discovers that the VCR has unleashed the dark dimension of Dr. Analog, posing a supernatural threat to her body and mind. Together, they investigate the origins of the VCR and confront the malevolent force.
Director Michael Turney describes VIDEO VISION as a story of transition, exploring themes of media formats, gender, and the passage of time against the backdrop of New York City. "I'm so thrilled to be a part of FrightFest and screen this love story turned techno-nightmare to an audience that appreciates nuanced horror." Turney said.
The film is produced by Michael Turney and features a cast including Shelley Valfer, Hunter Kohl, Liz Livingston, Gwyneviere Ray, Steve Beale, Christopher Bligh, and Cora Cadman.
The UK Premiere of VIDEO VISION is set for August 24th at the Pigeon Shrine FrightFest.
