Synopsis: MIDNIGHT TAXI follows the story of Eddie Carter, portrayed by Ladi Emeruwa, a sleepwalking cab driver who must delve into London’s seedy underworld to solve a murder and uncover whether he was unconsciously involved in the crime. Eddie’s life takes a disturbing turn when his daytime sleep schedule is disrupted by construction work, leading to extreme exhaustion during his nighttime shifts. One fateful night, he awakens from a brief nap to find a murdered woman near his cab.
Haunted by the gruesome discovery and his tired state, Eddie reports the incident to the police but struggles to move on. His nightmares intensify, and he finds himself sleepwalking again—a condition he suffered from as a child. As fear sets in, Eddie begins to suspect his involvement in the crime.
Determined to clear his name, Eddie starts his own investigation. With the help of investigative journalist Adam Blomfield, played by Eddie Eyre, and high-end escort Karli, portrayed by Charlotte Price, Eddie navigates the dark corners of London's sex industry and uncovers shocking truths about the city he thought he knew.
