Director Deanna Dewey Leads Production with TF Film Productions
Filming has commenced on the new sci-fi thriller 'CLONER,' adapted from the 1990s novel 'Cradle of Secrets' by Emma Lorant. The feature, directed by Deanna Dewey and produced by TF Film Productions, started its production yesterday in the picturesque countryside of Hampshire.
Director Deanna Dewey expressed her excitement about the project:
"I am really excited to be shooting the film 'CLONER.' The film is based on the book 'Cradle of Secrets' which was published by Headline in the 1990s and was way ahead of its time on environmental issues. The writer Emma Lorant, now 95 years old, is working on a sequel. We have brought the story up to date and have a powerful female lead for this exciting sci-fi thriller, which is a very topical environmental story. The underlying message is a warning of the dangers of the overuse of chemicals and pesticides on farmland – hopefully, Jeremy Clarkson and Kaleb (Clarkson's Farm) would approve! It is great to work with such a talented team, and we have the lead role of Lisa being played by Coco Taylor. The male lead, who plays her husband, is Ben Freeman, known for his role in over 400 episodes of Emmerdale. Local actor Tim Faraday also joins the cast in between shooting on 'The House of Dragons' – the spin-off from 'Game of Thrones.'"
Set against the stunning English countryside, 'CLONER' tells the story of an American woman fighting for her life – and the lives of her children – when she becomes entangled in a fertilizing experiment gone wrong.
The production showcases a mix of local and international talent, bringing together a diverse and skilled team to tell this cautionary and thrilling tale.
