Set in the 1860s, the story follows a religious family traveling across the western states in a covered wagon. Ezekiel (Andrew Hovelson – Shades of Blue), Sarah (Hannah Cabell – Law & Order, The Blacklist), and their children Abigail (Lea Zawada – FBI: Most Wanted) and Luke (Duke Huston) hear a mysterious sound from the woods, believing it to be a divine calling. They begin to worship it, but soon their faith gives way to unimaginable terror.
What they thought was divine is far more sinister, as they realize they’ve invited an ungodly presence into their lives. Can their faith in the almighty save them from this evil?
