Discover the Quirky Charm of 'LA CHA CHA': A Comedy of Community and Unconventional Living
Reunited for the first time since the cult classic 'Twin Town', the renowned cast takes to the screen in 'LA CHA CHA', a unique Welsh comedy brought to life by Director Kevin Allen. This film is an eccentric sequel of sorts, set against the backdrop of a vibrant retirement community determined to maintain their off-the-grid paradise. Celebrated for its humor and distinctive storyline, 'LA CHA CHA' is ready to entertain the UK audience with its digital release on 25 March via Seven Tales Entertainment Ltd.
The narrative follows the mild-mannered Irishman Solti Buttering (played by Liam Hourican) as he ventures through Wales with his grandfather’s ashes, leading him to 'LA CHA CHA'. This quirky caravan park, devoid of any hotel vacancies, houses a lively group of retirees living life on their terms. The community, filled with nudists, members of the LGBTQ+ community, musicians, and an array of vivid personalities, offers a sanctuary for those looking to age unapologetically. Activities such as paintballing, indulging in edibles, yoga, and dancing are everyday occurrences here.
Upon arrival, Solti learns that the park's young proprietors, Libby and Damien Rees (Ruby and Sonny Ashbourne Serkis), face challenges in keeping the place running. Moved by the community's spirit, he embarks on a mission to support the siblings in safeguarding their oasis.
Featuring performances by Keith Allen, Alfie Allen, Rhys Ifans, Dougray Scott, Melanie Walters, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, and Sonny Ashbourne Serkis, 'LA CHA CHA' promises a blend of humor, charm, and heartful moments. Catch it on UK digital platforms including iTunes, Sky, Amazon, and Google from 25 March 2024.
