Vertigo Releasing UK & Rialto Australia Unveil New Joint Venture: GALAXY PICTURES
Rialto and Vertigo Releasing have announced the formation of a new distribution company tailored for the ANZ (Australia and New Zealand) market, named GALAXY PICTURES. The new venture aims to specialize in "broad-appeal, star-driven commercial pictures" for a consumer base increasingly shifting towards a digital landscape.
This announcement solidifies a successful joint venture that has already led to the distribution of 120 films in the past three years. Notable titles previously released under the partnership include HONEST THIEF, BOSS LEVEL, AINBO: AMAZON PRINCESS, DREAMBUILDERS, THE MISFITS, and COSMIC SIN.
An exciting line-up of films is set to debut under the GALAXY PICTURES banner in 2024. These include LAND OF BAD starring Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth, LONG LEGS starring Nicolas Cage, and SLEEPING DOGS featuring Russell Crowe and Karen Gillan. Other star-studded releases include ARMOURED starring Sylvester Stallone, THE CANTERVILLE GHOST with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, THE TASTE OF THINGS starring Juliette Binoche, NO WAY UP featuring Colm Meaney and Phyllis Logan, and THE RULE OF JENNY PEN starring John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush.
