Part satire, part suspense thriller, CASTING KILL follows casting director Arthur Capstone’s ‘casting roadshow’ where he preys on actors desperate for a lead role.
CASTING KILL is a 80-minute satirical thriller film that follows the story of Hollywood casting director Arthur Capstone. Set in various locations including Colonial Buildings, Hatton Garden, and Bleeding Heart Yard, the film depicts Capstone's sinister "casting roadshow" where he preys on actors hoping to make their big break.
The film premiered at Horror-On-Sea in January, and went on to win Best Director and Best Score at Scorpiusfest in Park City, Utah. Reception for the film has been positive, with both critics and audiences alike praising its unique take on horror.
Inspired by the work of Alfred Hitchcock, Casting Kill features a score by New York composer Shaun Finnegan that evokes the spirit of North By Northwest and Vertigo. Unlike the typical slasher or gore films, it's a collaboration between UK filmmakers and an American composer.
CASTING KILL is Raya Films' fifth feature and is will celebrate its London Premiere at the Courthouse Cinema on Friday, 3rd March 2023 at 7pm. Full details, schedule and tickets can be found via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/casting-kill-london-premiere-tickets-527072486997
