After a machete-wielding altercation on a dairy farm, two bounty hunter brothers are negotiating the bail for Rodney Bonnifield when they come across the elderly and ill guy.
Near the time of his sentencing, he admits to the bondsmen that he is the notorious DB Cooper, the guy in charge of the Pacific Northwest airline hijacking in 1971, and that the ransom money is still buried along the Columbia River.
It's race against time. In order to find the money Rodney buried 50 years ago along the river, the group embarks on a modern-day treasure hunt as Rodney's prison sentence approaches. Along the way, they learn strange secrets about Rodney Bonnifield and his involvement in the only unsolved plane hijacking in American history.
