Based on the short film that went viral, picking up over 4.5 million views on YouTube, THE FENCE is a comedy, drama set on the working-class streets of 80s Bristol, accompanied with a great soundtrack that includes The Selector, Bad Manners, Madness, Motorhead, Kim Wilde, Adam and the Ants and A Flock of Seagulls.
THE FENCE stars newcomer David Perkins as Steven, a teenager who has just had his motorbike stolen, and will stop at nothing to get it back, even if it does put his older brother Andrew (Eugene Simon) who is serving a suspended prison sentence, in the firing line.
Director William Stone has delivered a great piece of retro cinema; it doesn’t take itself too seriously and along with the nostalgic soundtrack makes watching the film, time well spent.
