A British movie with a very American twang, BLONDE. PURPLE is released in the UK on Digital Platforms, 30th November 2021.
London New Wave and 1091 Pictures have announced that their heist thriller BLONDE. PURPLE will be heading to Digital Download from 30th November.
Directed by Marcus Flemmings (Palindrome, Six Rounds), the film stars Julian Moore-Cook, Elle Bindman, Adam J Bernard and Jennifer Lee Moon.
Outline: An out of his depth criminal is stuck in a bank after a heist goes wrong. With only a gun and a 16 year old girl as a hostage, how will he get out?
His life prior to this incident forces him to face truths about himself that he has been avoiding all his life.
BLONDE. PURPLE's writer and director, Marcus Flemmings, was thrilled to confirm the release. He said
"Being a British filmmaker I am extremely elated to have the film been so warmly received by US distributors. After a thrilling bidding war it was my absolute pleasure to sign with 1091 Pictures - they are an incredibly forward thinking and diverse brand who have, over the years, been behind some wonderful releases. The incredible cast and crew who helped me get my vision out there by filming during the lockdown in the UK were simply incredible and deserve maximum credit."
BLONDE. PURPLE will be available on Digital Download from 30th November
London New Wave (lnw)
LNW was born out of the desire to forge a new filmmaking movement in the UK.
Each country has a thoroughly diverse and successful film making history with wonderful films to back them up. As of recently, Korea has been causing a storm with its unique storytelling.
The UK, it seems, has forever been stuck in a rut. Every 10 years of so, it produces a really memorable film that breaks out worldwide but realistically there should be more.
It is often used as the hotbed for Hollywood studios to shoot content - Pinewood, Shepperton, WB Studios - however original filmmaking is often overlooked or underwhelming.
London New Wave, now into their 3rd feature after SIX ROUNDS & PALINDROME, are looking to become that New Wave of cinema in the UK that will challenge the norm and bring some excitement to a country that is bursting with incredible actors, crew and creatives.
