NOBODY LOVES YOU AND YOU DON’T DESERVE TO EXIST is inspired by the work of Mike Leigh, David Lynch and Lars von Trier.
Manchester-based independent film production team, Serious Feather, have recently posted online an evocative teaser trailer for their upcoming micro-budget feature film, NOBODY LOVES YOU AND YOU DON’T DESERVE TO EXIST.
Written and directed by Brett Gregory, whose previous productions include the music documentaries known as the Beyond Trilogy, the film focuses on an ex-English teacher in Manchester who, following the sudden death of his best friend, begins to experience horrifying psychotic episodes as he struggles to come to terms with his past, his identity and the nature of reality itself.
The film has been shot in 4K on a Sony A7R III by director of photography, Gwyn Hemmings.
Influenced by the work of Mike Leigh, David Lynch and Lars von Trier, the self-funded film has been in production for over 4 years and stars a range of professional and semi-professional actors from across the North West, including David Howell (Brassic, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks), Julie Hannan (The Matriarch, Elizabeth is Missing, Supernova) and Wendy Patterson (Shameless, Coronation Street, The Worst Witch).
The film has been shot in 4K on a Sony A7R III by director of photography, Gwyn Hemmings (Peaky Blinders, Happy Valley, Disney Europe), while its original pagan-inspired soundtrack has been composed by Andrew McCrorie-Shand (Teletubbies, Rosie and Jim, Brum).
NOBODY LOVES YOU AND YOU DON’T DESERVE TO EXIST is due for release early 2021.
